Guilt-free coupon economics

CFO has a great post about the economics behind coupons.   http://www.chieffamilyofficer.com/2009/08/why-so-many-coupons-coupon-stacking-and.html I’ve always subscribed to the theory that stores and manufacturers offer coupons because it works for THEM more than US, and this post gives some insight into their thinking.

My favorite Walgreens coupon matchup site

Shopping at Walgreens with coupons is a BIG deal in my little world.  I save a ton of money, and it’s like a sport to me.  I enjoy it.  A lot. So do a lot of people, as evidenced by the tons of sites listing coupon matchups.  I encourage you to read through as many [...]

Product Review: Weber Grill Creations Zesty Lemon & Nature Sweet Tomatoes

I got about 6 of these free with coupons a couple of weeks ago.   This was the only flavor they had left, and I wasn’t going to pass up FREE.   I am so glad I didn’t.  I absolutely love this seasoning!! One of my favorite snacks this week has been Nature Sweet Cherry Tomatoes  (which [...]

Wags shopping 3-23-09

The amazing savings came from buying 4 glucose meters. My daughters are diabetic, so I snapped up a couple for them, one for me, and another to give away. (I will be submitting the rebate for all 4 and use it to buy discs for the meters) I’d also like to note that I paid [...]

Kroger shopping trip 3-21-09

I was pretty proud of myself at Kroger this weekend. I did a total of 10 mega saver deals (where you purchase 10 selected items and receive $5 off your total order) in 3 different trx. I’d like to say I am one of those people who walk out spending like $3, but it never [...]

milky walgreens filler goodness

Is milk cheaper at your WAGS than at your supermarket?  It is at mine.  By like 30 cents a gallon.  We go through a LOT of milk (even tho I use powdered when I can) Since I’ve figured that out, I use milk as a filler when I’m rolling RR.

skipping Kroger this week

I can hardly believe it, but I figured up the doubled coupon amount that I will save there and it’s only $5.  The nearest Kroger is a 45 minute drive and I’ll burn that much in gas driving there.  Plus I am under a pretty big time crunch this week, and my family will be [...]

Buying Selling and Trading Coupons

This has been running around in my head for quite a while, but this post on fromwagstoriches inspired me to finally post about it. I absolutely love couponing, but there are so many that I know I’m not going to use. Trading hasn’t seemed to work out for me. Too much looking to see if [...]
