Recycling Storage Jars

If you are like me and have clutter and/or organizing issues – I think you’ll be able to follow my train of thought as it loops circles around in my head.   Those of you who don’t.. well I don’t know what to say to you – you are like a alien to me.  I am tempted to probe your head :)

Who doesn’t love free storage containers?  And saving things from the landfill?  And the idea of all the kids’ little bits of stuff all neatly contained in beribboned jars?   Not me that’s for sure… I swear my heart started beating a little faster when I read this post and my head started swirling with ideas

but then…  that other part of my head… (ya know the part that is in touch with reality reminded me of this…

That reality based part of my brain reminded me that I will be VERY good at saving the items from the trash can, but not so good with actually following through with using them anything.   You know, actually creating more clutter than organizing.  (How does that happen???)

I can’t let go of the idea, so I am going to designate an area for these items.  A small area.  I can save as many peanut butter jars as will fit (probably in a box with a lid so my husband can’t see them and laugh at me) when the box is full – I either have to craft them up and use them, or pitch some.

Yeah, I hear you laughing.  I’ll do it.  I swear I will.  That or my kids will find a box of vintage peanut butter jars when I die and they won’t even be surprised :)

  1. My mother was the same when I was growing up. Always reusing things from shoe boxes to jam jars. It hasn’t passed on to her son though, not yet anyway.
